Tubular dudes.....here's a header.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../NewHeader.jpg
This is something I knocked out yesterday, fixture, welding, fitting and design....5 hours. I have little or no desire to put this into production. I can't spend 5 hours building a header for resale and neither can anyone else here. Also with this design, being for the stock turbo, it is not a direct bolt on. I couldn't bring myself to buy one of the $300 headers that are being offered to test. I built this thick walled SS header the way I think one should be built. Right after lunch I am going to test the last stock turbo combination on the RS on the dyno and then put this header on and see what happens. Sure would be nice to see over 400 whp on pump gas and the stock turbo. David Buschur www.buschurracing.com |
That looks awesome. Amazing work Dave.

Nice work dave keep us posted im very intrested

Cant wait to see what it does.
|
You are turning into a header building fool. ;)
|
Nice work. As usual.
|
Thats gorgeous work David.What length and dia. are the tubes?
|
stop teasing us and tell us david...

Looks good {thumbup}

Well I for one am pretty impressed, even though I am not the biggest fan of Buschur products. Can you show a top shot? The only thing I see, is that 1" or so section on the #1 cylinder tube that has to support engine torque, but then again it depends on the thickness of the wall.
But very nice work, I might have to start looking into Buschur products again. Oh yeah, is it twin-scroll design? |
Wow - thats an amazing design - cant wait to see what kind of gains it will produce
|
gold city,
Come on....trade secrets you want? Tubing matches the outlet of the head exactly. dryad001, The 1" section on the number 1 tube that has to support engine torque? I am confused. It is a twin scroll design. The header is on the car now and I hope to get it dyno'd before I leave here in 15 minutes. Ron, where's my header? David Buschur www.buschurracing.com |

i think that it looks good. hopefully we see some nice power gains.

Yes, port match exactly makes the most sence. Reversion is a fact of life.Better to promote smooth reversion flow than make the tubes larger compared to the port exit. {thumbup}
