Which mods to do? Approx 4G's with Install
Hey I know this has been discussed like a thousand times but I'm a little different case.
I want the most power I can get out of the 4 grand, but its driveability thats also very important. It's going to be my daily driver, i'd rather lose 30-40 extra that I could also gain and still have a very comfortable daily driver car. Now the 4 Grand is WITH INSTALLS now since I clearly dont know much about modding I dont know how much each mod would cost to install, so u might be able to help me out there. Also I thought Staged upgrades would be a good thought, Buschr vs Vishnu? the Stage1+ looks good but also Buschr has a similar priced package that gives you a little less HP and TQ it seems but same accel / 1/4 times. What are your inputs? Thanks!!!!! {thumbup} |
no replies? i guess im just too annoying eh?

I say buy the parts you want and do it yourself. Unless it's something really difficult (most jobs aren't as difficult as you think) do it yourself. If you really don't have time, then just do staged upgrades and have a competent shop like TurboTrix, Buschur Racing, Works, Vishnu, MachV, etc. do the job.
If it has to be your daily driver, don't spend 4 thousand dollars in performance mods. You will want a quiet exhaust and be mostly stock. If you do mods, try doing different ones, such as Bilsteins, a good flash or a quiet TBE,that will be useful and keep it good for daily driving. If you really must spend that much, then do the staged upgrades. |

I highly recommend not doing it all at once. Slowly build up your car. Why do you think they do upgrades in "stages?"

So it will go very very slow haha |
hardest part about doing it urself is getting some of the stuff off. sometimes bolts dont want to loosen. took me 30 mins to get my o2 sensor loose and another 30 mins to get my dp loose ... stupid bolts

Well i've never installed anything on a car in my life. We'll see how badly I beat your slow record.

I say go with some staged upgrades, I like buschur products but whoever you choose you can't go wrong. Exhaust was my first install ever and after that all I want to do is install parts, I love working on this car. Saves money and its fun :)

i say buy whatever you can, but it doesn't matter what the brand of the parts are to a point. Just do some research. If you follow the stages buschur or vishnu has you can't go wrong. You don't necessarily need to buy their parts though.
