Hey I Need Some Help Guy's!!
Alright well i just ran into a situation here im at work and i was about to go to lunch and i started my car the thing idle like crap my air/fuel gauge wasnt working so im like ok maybe since its cold it need to warm up the idle will recover well i just had my hks cams installed 272/272 also with arp head Studs with Alky Methonal Injection kit not that long ago. I would rev it from the motor and i would here loud ticking chatter noise coming from the head not sure what it is might be the lifters im not sure so im like ok maybe there is a leak somewhere(From The Crappy Idle) i did a quick search i couldent find anything(Did it Quickly) but last night i was missing with my hks intake late last night repositioning it a bit. But onced i took it for a drive i would hit the gas the car would die on me then shoot up real in high in rpm's But im seeing if anyone else has gone thru this im thinking its the intake not tighten and leaking air since i smell gas and when my i/c pipe blew off it had a really bad idle and everytime i hit the gas it would die out of me and i smelled gas im hoping thats what it is but im seeing if anyone can put their input on this highly appreciate it Thanks Also my car was running like a champ this morning before i pulled into work i did a quick sprint (Need For Speed) {thumbup} Then i parked it

Sounds like an intercooler pipe came off or one of the couplers broke loose. Check from the throttle body all the way to the turbo. Make sure the injectors are seated properly too.

Well i did some more research while i was on lunch found out that the coupler to the maf sensor from the intake was loose i tighten it but yet had time to try it out i will have to wait till 5 to see what it can but it did idle alot better

Intercooler piping I think. And if the upper intercooler piping was off it should not even be able to idle unless its like half off.

Well i found out what the problem was the lower ic piping clamps were loose not off just loose so some air was escaping out also the intake pipe of the hks intake the coupler that goes around the turbo was loose to so i took care of that and now the car idles like a champ and she pulls really hard now man a boost leak can really destroy our evo's thanks for the input guys take care
