TopSpeed Evo Destroy's Tranny!!
 

Well we finally got her dialed in... the car is making HUGE power so we decided to take her to the streets and test her out. After setting up the flat shift I decided I would set the launch control. Played around a bit with different settings, and ended up with the car coming off the line a 6.2k rpms and 21psi. The car was feeling like a rocket outa the hole. It had never felt so good, well I guess it was just too good. As after I got some heat into the drag radials I decided to try the launch again. Only this time about 10 feet into the role out the car hooked and hooked hard. This was followed by a loud bang. I thought I broke a front axle... but that wasn't the case as the car was leaking tranny fluid. So I pulled her into the shop and removed the tranny.

Here are some pics... as you can see some of the cracked case but they just don't do justice to the damamge. I haven't taken apart the tranny yet but I am sure its a mess. Looks like we will hopefully be installing a new PPG gearset now to hold the power, and some kind of extra webbing on the housing.

what turbo is that?! is it the fullrace gt-35r?

The manifold is Full-Race but the turbo is a custom built Innovative Turbo, bigger than the GT-35r.

jesus lol humm ya stock trann never going to hold up on that beast. lol whats your next plan. race trann hope it will hold up to that lol. just dont lunch car.

Haha I was there the night this happened. He's not kidding about this thing being a monster. All 4 drag slicks light up like they're made of plastic. Something HAD to break on this car its just too much. Hah, once they get it fixed I'm sure they'll be back to no good once again.

good lord...is this the black car from the shootout?

^Yeah. They ran an 11.7 at around 130 getting locked out of 2nd shifting directly into 3rd. Along with clutch problems and stuff.

That sucks the engine looks great though.
