Transmission failiure
1000 miles and my evo is in the dealer with them reporting they found a ton of metal in the trans oil and casing...my question is what now on a car a week old......what would you want Mitsubishi to do? It has had very light use and I have been babying the thing....obviously a fault from new
They need to replace, not fix. It's obvious something went wrong there.
Never heard of that happening. Mitsubishi will need to replace that.
Thanks I need to mark the casing or grab the numbers or something
Probably a manufacturing defect. Some people get all the luck, eh? Sorry to hear that. :(
yeah...make sure they don' tjust try to fix it ..... mark it or something.
I am now worried about the front diff ect....does the center diff run off the trans oil? does the front diff run off the trans oil?
I'd demand a new one.
A new car?
at the very least a new tranny
I thought I was the only one! Dealer said Mitsu has never heard of bad trans in evo. Mine only had 380 miles when it started whining. I hadn't thought that the front diff might share the same oil and shavings. They want to just replace the bearings.
I guess I loose the best break in method bet:lol: proven not to work!!!
