Good old P0401 won't go away.

Hello, I have been getting this P0401 code every 28 or so miles of driving. The scanner is always hooked up to the obd2 port and notice the cycle of triggering this OBD2 code. I have double checked all the vaccum lines and they are all connected. I never noticed any power drop, no stalling except that it's just annoying to see the P0401 on the scanner. It will generate the service light on after it captures the P0401 code for the second time. So the service light goes on after 80 miles or less. It also depends on the driving. The more I drive it agressively, it seems like it's not showing up. If I drive it gently, this due to the fact that gas prices are high, it will trigger the P0401 within 20 miles of driving.
Will it take several miles for the P0401 to trigger if it's a faulty EGR valve? If it's a faulty EGR, it should trigger the code right away? Or is it just insufficient vaccum in the intake manifold? Please help. Thanks.

If you are sure that all the vacum lines are on, I would think EGR. There is one vacum line on the underside of the throttele body that you cannot see that is notorious for popping off.

I have felt around behind and feel the nipple pointing toward the passanger tire. Its on. (small nipple) Also the visible hoses are connected and the large one pointing toward the drivers front fender are connected. Am I missing one?

If the EGR is the problem, that part should be covered under warranty ?

At 250 miles, it better!! Its emissions, don't see why it wouldn't.
