New Option to Significantly Reduce Turbo Lag
Most of us drive turbo cars. We all want the same thing: faster spool. Especially with the larger turbos.
I finally found a solution and it puts anti-lag to shame. It just hit the market, but I have been working with the fabricators for a while to perfect it.
So, here it is:

There is still some work to do, like choosing the right rodent. The wheel is somewhat small to keep the rotational interia low, so only smaller rodents will fit. A regular hamster will work, but I heard there is a breed of gerbil out there that people call the cheetah gerbil because of its speed. That sounds like my kind of rodent! :D I will be testing various options, hopefully on the dyno so that I have real number comparisons.
Maintenance should not be too bad - estimates are that the rodent will have to be changed around every 15,000 miles or so, depending on driving habits.
I have yet to see how durable the setup is long-term. The wheel is a composite capable of withstanding high temperatures, but I think a good upgrade would be titanium. It would be even lighter and more durable than the composite. But hey, this is the first generation of this product - there are improvements to come.
