Buschur's 3065 tuned by Al

Just got my car tuned by Al down at Buschur's over the weekend. I had a base tune by from Jestr which made 337hp 306tq and Al flattened out the torque line and fine tuned a few things for me and ended with 333hp 280tq. I didn't make as much as i was hoping with a 22% comparision on a DynoJet but Dave said it turned out really well so im off to some more mods now.

My mods as of now are:
Buschur's 3065
Tial 44
Invidia turboback
Greddy front mount
Greddy 720cc's
Walbro255lph
HKS 264in 727ex
Injen intake
Custom intercooler piping
Tial bov
93 octane
24psi

Here is my dyno sheet on Buschur's Mustang Dyno

You got a baseline Vs. final dyno plot?

bvdawg13 Feb 4, 2007 04:04 PM

before i put on the 3065 i dyno'd at about 348hp 333tq on a dyno jet i think i forget, then i put on the turbo and flashed it right away with a jestr tune and made 337/306 on a mustang

Interesting

im thinking about this turbo kit from buschur aswell. but your numbers do seem kinda low i guess. jarrod runs the 3065 and makes just around 398 on pump at 22-23 psi on buschurs dyno. but i dont think your far off anyway.

He made 342/276 on pump with ems and about the same supporting mods as me, he made 398 on pump after he rebuilt his 2.0

Um, clue me in, but that seems pretty week for a $3000 dollar mod. I was looking at this turbo too, as I'm concerned that the 20G9LT wouldn't really deliver what I'm looking for, but now I'm wondering about this one. I'm not trying to offend anyone, just voicing my concerns.

I was thinking the same thing(but it is a mustang dyno on 91)

Theres your problem! You need to take it to 50,000rpm

j/k :D

91 oct? I'm hoping to get my car dynoed in the next week or two so I know what I have and what i pick up from a new turbo, I'll wager that my car hits at least 350 whp as it is, we'll see. I'm expecting that a good GT30 series turbo kit ought to add a least 50-65 whp on pump and 85-100 on race, maybe I'm mistaken, but that seems to be what I've come up with from all the info I've looked at.
If I spent $3000 + injectors + install + re-tune and I wasn't making over 420 whp I be tempted to shoot someone, figuretively speaking of course, in other words I be pissed.

bvdawg13-
Did you make the 337/306 on a mustang dyno?

dustin03 Feb 4, 2007 07:42 PM

so you lost power with Al's tune ??????? Im I missing somthing. Was the 337/306 your base line before Al started tunning? if So I would have Jest retune that car for you.

Piper Feb 4, 2007 07:58 PM

^^^
That is exactly what I was thinking.
If he lost 4hp and 26tq, it must be correlated to some difference in dynos, right?
Not even al could pull that off.

DynoJet to Mustang = apples to oranges.
