Did you trap 109 before or after the tune?

EVIL_EVO_VIII Jul 13, 2007 06:48 PM

Damn! Nice numbers{thumbup} Did you tune the car on the dyno or did you just put it with the tune you had already?

Nuked Jul 13, 2007 07:03 PM

109 trap was on my old tune which was knocking.

Tuned on street before then put on dyno. No tuning done on dyno other than lowering boost some. Results of all three pulls were almost identical.

Those your Only mods? no MBC? or intercooler or anything? Good #'s if so.

Nice numbers for a self tune. Especially the torque considering AMS (MD) dyno reads pretty much identical to a dynojet.

JRB_EVO Jul 13, 2007 08:32 PM

Very nice numbers, how much boost were you running?

He's probably using ECU boost control with the pill that I sold him {thumbup}

Nuked, what mivec map are you using?

Not really. If this dyno is anything like a dynojet, then an aggressive tune on the dyno will cause the car to knock on the street. Dynojets are notorious for failing to load the car like you do on the street. Because of that you can run a very aggressive tune on a dynojet w/o knock but when you log on the street you will encounter knock.

That is why dunojets produce high numbers. It is a no-load dyno that the EVO can easily turn the rollers on. According to my calculations dynojet numbers are 7-15% higher than what you will get with a road dyno like Dataloglab.

still nice numbers none the less

Not bad! {thumbup}
With a TBE, K&N drop in and a flash, I got 279 on Buschurs Mustang Dyno. If you were on a dynojet, we're pretty close. For my tune, I just had a base flash from Al. I know my car has more in it. Just need to get some logs done and some more tuning. I also now have an intake and an MBC so I'm sure I can squeeze at least 10-15 more hp out of her.
