How to find out CC's of unknown injectors?

Hey guys, so my buddy is selling his injectors, but he's not 100% sure what size they are, he got them a while back and can't remember if they were 770cc, 780cc, or 720cc, can you guys help me out because I might be buying them and want to know 100% what size they are...so how do I test them or find out what size they are? thanks a lot guys!

you need to make a rig to apply +12V across the pins on the injector, and also have a fuel feed with pressure. once you apply the 12V, you measure how much fuel comes out in 1 minute. the volume that comes out of the injector cc's is the cc/min of the injector @ the psi of the fuel pressure. it is somewhat difficult on the car because the rail holds the injectors in place, so if you take the rail out and prime the pump, it will pop the injectors out. additionally you need to keep the pump running or else pressure will drop as you inject fuel into your container.

or send them to RC Engineering and have them flow tested, balanced etc. I'd do that with any used set of injectors just to be safe.

I thought injectors, at least some brands, had markings on them like in a SN fashion which could be used to identify them if you knew what brand they are.

Cool, yea I was wondering if there is any quick way, like some S/N on the injectors, but it doesn't seem so....any other ideas? thanks guys

PTE's have em.

Ok, there's no sticker on them, they're just plain injectors, but he says that he knows that they're 100% PTE...there are some numbers engraved on the injectors themselves, but its kinda hard to read...

You know its really friggin hard to find pictures of PTE injectors up close but finally i found a set of 580cc PTE injectors where you can see the marking visibly on the side of the injector.

So look at the side of the injector apparently.

Yep, that's exactly how mine look...is it possible to verify if they are in fact PTE's? And what is the number engraved on the injector? Serial numer? CC/min? thanks

I don't own a set of PTE's so the best i can provide you with is a part number perhaps it will match it or closely. Though i note i haven't found anything other than a X80cc injector size by pte.

PTE-PFU043-0880 (880cc)
PTE-PFU043-0780 (780cc)
