How much boost can a stock evo 8 can handle?
Hi,
I have set mine up at 1.53bar (around 22psi) and there seem to be no problem. what's the boost level that stock evo8 can handle? I'm running on 98 octane |
What mods... are you tuned, stand alone, what year, stock internals.... come on man give us something to work with.

about 53psi. But you will have danger to teh manifold. Make sure you upgrade your egr also, they have a tendency to explode!

Stock internals are only rated to 450 at the crank.... be carefull

So what is the stock max boost for a 2003 Evo 8, with no mods?

Coz I'm reading off an electronic gauge, 1.53bar is correct.
It currently has BOV and HKS filter running on 98 octane. Since stock evo is 19psi (1.31bar), I'm just thinking how much boost evo can handle without further mod. 1.53bar seems to be running fine but you reckon I could go abit higher? |
