What do you consider the obvious?

Crank and or Rods could be toast too...

other than having your motor completely rebuilt. I replaced my oil cooler, oil pump, and clutch when I spun my bearing. Clutch is not required obviously but i would recommend the other two items.

Got a engine for sale for cheap! But ya they are right most likely the crank and/or rods are going to be messed up. You should at least flush the entire oil system out when and if you rebuild.

You asked for the WORST that could happen...

A rod says hello to the outside world via a hole in the block...

Cheers-

Agreed, I did too, not knowing the extent of his case might not warrant it but to be honest when spending 2-3k dollars on a new motor why not spend another 500 to have the piece of mind that there is going to be NO metal in the oil.

Really, how cheap is cheap? I spun my number two rod bearing about a week ago and now I'm in the market for another motor maybe.
