Buschur Racing, HTA35r, 93 octane and 10.0's
OK, so most of you know I wanted to run 9's with my RS on 93 octane. Today looked like rain so I called the track to see if there was anyone renting it. Sure enough there was a Top Dragster team out there testing. I asked for a favor and they let us come out.
Trent and I took the RS out there, which wasn't even together when I called as I had the upper i/c pipe and some other stuff off of it. I threw it together and hoped for the best. The very first run was at 12:22 pm and the last run was at 1:11 pm. So these were all run within 50 minutes of each other. There was no cool down to speak of in between runs. I'd look at the logs, move the two step or adjust tire pressure. We did make some exceptional progress on the 60 foot times. The car ran two 1.54 sixty footers. This is the best ever for my car. I am going to run a new spring set that Indy EVO sent me months ago and I expect the 60 foot times to drop into the 1.40's. Also, the maximum boost that the car saw on any of the passes was 32.8 psi right at the 4th gear shift. That was too high and I turned it down so it did not hit 32 psi again. Anyway, here are the times for each run in the order we ran them: Code:
Sixty Foot 1/8th mile 1/4 mileI was going to call it quits for the pump gas after today as I thought it would go 9's. Now I have it in my head that I can't quit yet. I have a few parts I want to change next week on the car. I am waiting on Indy EVO to send his next generation modified stock intake manifold to me and a few more tricks. I think I am going to leave it on 93 octane and give it another shot in a week or two. I want to thank Trent Stanley for another excellent job driving the car. I video taped it all and Jarrod spent the day putting together a video from it. He is going to post it up in the morning. I guess for now 10.02 is going to have to be good enough. Just another reminder, this car made 573 whp on OUR Mustang Dyno on the same straight 93 octane fuel as we ran on today. For future reference of Mustang Dyno numbers and how high or low they actually are we can now refer to (4) seperate EVO's within the last week that have put down some serious ET's/MPH. In the video you will see the car was COMPLETE with full interior, dash, headliner, double DIN DVD, all 6 speakers, trunk carpeting/wood and my cardboard box. Nothing on the car is cut up, hacked up or drilled. I am running stock front and rear sized rotors, factory calipers. The car was on my CCW wheels and Hoosier DOT tires. Here is the list of other mods on the car: BR Stage 3, standard bore 2 liter BR Stage 3 cylinder head BF272 cams BR double pumper 1200 cc injectors BR COP BR 3" turbo back with bullet muffler BR 2.5 upper and lower i/c pipes BR Race FMIC BR dual stage boost controller BR fuel rail BR mini battery BR custom T3 header BR mini radiator BR electric water pump Titlon clutch Bushwacker Stage 1 transmission Giro disc front and rear rotors CCW wheels Hoosier DOT BR rear diffuser AEM EMS tuned by me HTA35r turbo Tial 44 mm gate Tial BOV Driven Innovations Intake manifold 3" Hypertune throttle body Some important things to point out that are stock: Transfer case Driveshaft Front and rear axles Fuel feed and return lines Gas tank Fuel pressure regulator I think that is most of the details on the car. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask. You'll like the video, Jarrod did a great job on it. Thanks for doing it Jarrod! *Buschur Racing Evo RS - 10.0 on 93 octane* |
Great Job! I know its not the 9s you were looking for, but still amazing times for pump gas!
Oh crap, just a 10.0x. My kingdom for a drink of water and all you've got is a case of Guinness. That's pretty darn good DB. To put it in perspective, the 3 Amigos have basically the same power and a best among them of 10.67. I'd say your car is working just fine.
First off congrats, those times are still sick!
Second, is Indy Evo from the future or what??? I mean this guy has improvement for EVERYTHING! Dont get me wrong I love it, great work!{thumbup}

Once again no pressure on me :eek:
Where is the NOS bottle hid?:lol: This is incredible what your doing up there. Thanks for all the info you provide for us all.

Just wondering (if you dont mind sharing), but what is the difference between your car and the other 3 that leads to a .6 second difference? Mods are all pretty close. So is it Trent or what?
Great time none the less. Should happen on a cooler day no problem:) If not just with some cool down time.
Trent fo sho!
A old guy owns it, and a kid drives it. NO FEAR
I don't know that the cool down time is a factor. The numbers repeated several times in short order. No issues with slowly diminishing mph or slowing times. FMIC is doing it's job. Numbers are consistent. Trent just needs to go on a diet and david needs to take the case of Guinness out of the trunk.

Its a combination of many things, one of them happens to be "the Trent" :lol:
Nice work today guys! Those are very impressive times! |
Awesome times. so close to 9's{thumbup}
By the way... I have option 2 rear springs here... you can pick them up when you come out... 1.9 lbs for both.
wow...simply awesome. Goodluck hitting 9s on pump {thumbup}. Trent gotta be one hell of a driver.
