is it hitting on the cross member?
pull harder!

there is a input shaft that goes thru the tranny and conencts to the actual tcase, the other end of it connects to the axel you have to pull that one out

What You mean cross member? I was afraind to hit anything. Only
insert wood between tc and tranny and try move to trany and back (like on the picture)

Is there any lock on shaft or sth like that?

ps. crossmemebr removed ;)

lift up under the transfer case. you are being hung up on the 2nd set of splines going into it. You might have to rotate the bottom of the case back and forth. Once it is loose, it will drop down.

have you by chance already removed the transmission bolts holding it to the engine? Some of the movement need to remove the case is gotten by moving the transmission.

If you haven't removed the "input shaft" which looks like a mini half shaft that is completely internal the tc won't budge send me a pm with your phone number and mabey I can clarify

sabastian458 Jul 26, 2008 10:48 AM

If you can not see thru the hole in the transmission and transfer case where the axles attach, then the shaft is not removed.

you actually have to pull it out, but yes that is the shaft. I maybe mistaken on my earlier post, you might not be able to see completely thru the transmission, but you should be able to see the diff inside it.
