super noob question sorry that i'm even asking
 

evo 8 tranny in an evo 9 vehicle.

i know that the block didnt change. and if im not mistaken i'm confident the clutches are interchangeable. the only thing i'm not sure of is the transfer case matching up. the tranny is an evo 8 non acd and the evo 9 clearly is equiped with an acd. i just need to know if it will work.

i have the tranny almost sold but the buyer is concerned of fitment issues and such. and i just cant give him a 100% answer and everyone i've spoken to so far cant either. i was just hoping someone on here has done it before and that they can confirm it for me please.

there shouldn't be any changes as far as fitment goes. I bought an '03 evo trans and fit it with my 8 MR which has an ACD.

thanks man thats pretty much what i was looking for man. however if anyone could confirm that the evo 8 could fit in an evo 9 so that i can give this buyer a 100% answer instead of the 99.9% that i'm feeling right now.

they are little different, but evo8 tran will most def fit on 9
