is it ok to drive with a blown exhaust manifold gasket?
ok i took my car to the track last night, and i believe i blew my exhaust mani gasket and i was wondering if its ok to drive around with it blown until the mitsu place opens on monday...the car is my dd

you should be alright. Just don't tell the dealership what you were doing with your car.
well im not under warranty or anythin so im gonna have to pay either way...lol
if you're not under warranty why are you taking it to the dealership? They're gonna **** you sideways. Pulling the header off isn't fun, but it's not too difficult. You could probably handle a gasket change yourself and save a ton of money.

double tap
it wont do nething but i would get it fixed asap
Drive it forever. But the ticking may be annoying.
do it yourself. you'll only end up spending 30 dollars.I did it myself when I changed my turbo.never even chenged oil on any car before that. I owe everything to the helpful members of this forum.

i think he means when the parts dept opens, i doubt he is gonna pay mitsu to change his gasket lol
Replace it yourself. Buy a wobbler extension and some new bolts and you're good to go. Not very difficult at all.
Its alot easier to remove the radiator, it adds alot more room and you dont have to worry about messin up your radiator. but then again i was taking my motor out to bore it over. haha. So i wasnt in any rush to get it back on there like you do.
