What's wrong with my car? PLEASE HELP

Basically: Car idles at 2000 RPMS and on and of loud ticking noise from the engine bay and the car breaks up like there is something wrong with the blow off valve as if it is always open.

Hi all,
So this morning I had to get up early to drive one of my friends home and on my way there my idle was really strange. It was up around 2,000 RPMS and I didn't think to much of it as the car was driving normally. I thought maybe the car just needed to warm up etc... About 10 minutes later I am at a stop light waiting and the RPMS are at about 2,000 and the engine starts making a loud ticking noise. At this point I started to get worried and I drove home immediately. From around this point on the car didn't drive normally and it won't build any boost (I'm on an SC61 so at 3500 RPMS there is hardly any) and it breaks up and sometimes feels like the BOV is left open.

This is terrible timing, I was supposed to leave for school tomorrow. Please help me out and let me know what is wrong.

Thanks In Advance, Matt

Sounds like a boost leak to me. You have an aftermarket blow off i take it?

I would go over your couplers, make sure it's holding pressure. Then I'd check your vacuum lines on your blow off, egr, and intake manifold. (simplest stuff first).

The ticking is weird... can you describe it more?

Vacuum leak, Throttle cable adjustment bracket to tight will hold the butterfly open and idle high

its open because it compensates vacuum. You ahve a boost leak. Check your FPR hose and all the intake mani Hoses. I bet you cracked one or blew it off. GL

^HUH If the throttle cable is pulled too tight it will cause a high idle cause it's physically holding open the throttle plate
