Why can't we get this
My cousin has a Z28 which has OBDII. He told me he can tune his car by just buying a cable and using his notebook. I wish EVO owners could buy something like this. It would be the easiest thing to do, installation would be like 2 minutes!!! Plus the price would be the same as getting our ECU reflashed.
What do you guys think? http://carputing.tripod.com/9697lt1edit.htm |
you can, thats who mitsu programs ecu's.....you just need the software/hardware
|
Where can I buy it???? I would rather buy that then an AFC, piggyback or an AEM ECU
|
are you thinking of data logger? That doesnt tune, just reads.
|
No the LT1 edit lets you change anything on the ecu. You can change fuel timing, even when what temp the fans can turn on in your car. Its a device that allows for full customizations
|
no i'm not talking about a datalogger... read the evo manual
|
why not look into a XEDE from Vishnu tuning? you have control over fuel , timing and boost curve. and the stock ECU will still control the rest of the cars functions( fans, idle, etc..)

There is a "support group" for this tool on LS1.com |
I was thinking of Exede. If I am right though the Exede doesn't feature a rev limit increaser does it? Seeing how that if you lean the fuel out on the EVO increasing the rev limit would give me more room in a gear. That way I can be reminded of my VR-4, which I sold.

Using LS1, I would assume you have a lot of control over many variables. That's a big risk to take if you 'mess up' a setting.
