Valve Springs for M2's
 

So there's a few different valve springs I'm looking at for my M2's

- GSC's Bee Hives
- FP Bee Hives
- BC's

I know the BC's are proven to work well, and are probably the cheapest on this list. Let me know what you guys would suggest. I'm not looking to get dual springs at this time. My car is a DD and I'm not planning on going much past 400 whp. I'm still on the stock 8 turbo, but with just about every bolt on you can get. Just got a set of Full Race Prostock Headers and will eventually be upgrading to the Red in the spring.

How much for the SuperTech's?

I've also looked into the Ferrea's but way too expensive for me, trying to keep them under $300

wish i could tell ya haha i haven't ordered any yet...i'm thinking about doing dual supertechs just for that extra margain of safety and insurance, might as well do it once

I'm probably going to decide today on which springs to get. Gonna have the M2's here soon so I need to get them sooner than later. Leaning towards the GSC's we'll see.

When doing the cams, would you guys suggest I replace my timing belt too? Car has 45K miles on her already so it might be a good idea. Gotta replace the tensioner and balance shaft belt too I'm assuming.

Steve, if you're going to pay for the install of the springs, remember that Supertech duals require different seals, and no shops around here will install them without taking the head off. That adds about 300$ average on TOP of cam/spring install. For your setup, singles will be just fine, FP and GSC both make great products for a good price and will suit your application well. The Supertechs are overkill for most applications.

Thanks Dan, you're right I think the dual springs are overkill especially for my setup. BTW I'm sending the Full Race Headers back for warranty work. They're suppose to coat it again for free. Can't wait. Gonna go with the black coating.

BC is working well for me.

I think I'm going to go with the BC's, since my budget is getting ever so small all of a sudden.
