Some things I did over winter...
Well after Finishing my Garage at my new house. It was time to Do a little few things to the car ths winter that I didnt get to before.
First was to Install my mustache bar eliminator kit, this makes the rear end solid and saves a good 15+ lbs, Next was some shifting bushings, and a lower clutch line. Then it was time to get ride of some usless brakets and such, and remove my intake manifold to get ready for my new one. https://i114.photobucket.com/albums/...ox/misc001.jpg New JDM EVO 7 Tail lights https://i114.photobucket.com/albums/...ox/misc010.jpg New Mustache bar replacement bracket https://i114.photobucket.com/albums/...ox/misc009.jpg https://i114.photobucket.com/albums/...ox/misc013.jpg Got Bored painted the rear end https://i114.photobucket.com/albums/...ox/misc006.jpg Missing Intake Manifold  https://i114.photobucket.com/albums/...ox/misc005.jpg Re-Routing Vacum Lines Took the ABS out of the Car. NICEEEE looking clean in there!!!

Awesome build.
Where are you in Iowa? You should come up to Minneapolis for MitsuStyle.com's spring dyno day (announcement coming shortly)!
Car looks killer! |
NICE. Who makes the mustache bar replacement?
Thats the AMS mustache bar replacement kit
thanks jbergmeier!
Nice!
How about more info on the fabbed motor mount?
The motor mount is a Custom unit. It saves 4lbs off the stock one, is made of S.S. but is 100% solid. I would only recomend it to someone that has a solid front motor mount, like the AMS one. This is a prototype one off as well. A Jig was made, but some modifications need to be made if there is to be more made.

Curious why you removed the ABS?
Maybe you can get a parachute instead; your car definetly looks to be fast enough to warrant one :D. |
