stock axle's?

alright, so i recently put an hta35r on my car, and after about a week of driving i can feel some clicking when i turn sometimes and this is typical of a car that needs new cv axles.

(i just spent like $7500 on repairs and upgrades so im definately not launching/abusing the drivetrain)

i love my car, but i have just about had it with the evo's weak drivetrain. im going to deploy soon and i plan on upgrading the tranny/transfercase to TRE units and a 2 piece driveshaft from driveshaft shop. do i really need to fork out the cash for 650hp front axles and 800hp rear axles? my car is only making around 450awhp at most.

id like to know as well. I'm getting some squeeking from them while driving too. Sounds almost like brake noise

I do have a lowered car, another possibility is that the lowering springs have finally taken their toll on my front axles. I'm thinking that when I replace them I will also get a whiteline bump steer kit to reduce the strain on them.

Just a thought

No you don't. I was pushing 550 and had the stock ones in.

I have moved to a different setup now and I needed them since the added torque.

With that said they could break at anytime, there isn't a certain HP number that they break at. Well unless your pushing like 600 ft lbs then I would think about doing them.

in your case the ends don't justify the means.

Been driving with well over 500WHP for over a year absolutely no issues with my axels at all, that obviously doesnt mean they arent bad but I've had no issues...
