I had a similar issue. I ordered some HKS 272's on this forum. When I got them there were no markings. After speaking with customer support and many other people it has been confirmed that the original HKS cams didnt have HKS stamped on them. Even if there isnt HKS stamped there would be a part number engraved on it. I cant make out what the part number reads on the rough casting in that third pic. Here is what you need to do. Copy down the part number. Call up HKS technical support and have then reference your number with their part number. Hope this helps.

Most HKS cams have HKS engraved in them. I have HKS cams from 2005 and they still have the engraving.

I've heard that some don't have HKS engraved, but most do.

However, no matter what, there SHOULD be a part number or something along those lines somewhere on the cams.

Find what you can, Google what you find, and it should come up with what cams they are.

from the pics, they look like OEM cams...just like any other no stamped cams

Have you looked on the underneath side? If not, use a small mechanics mirror, or just hit the starter a tiny bit - be careful of the gas if you have the plugs out, etc... shouldn't be even a noticeable amount of gas though.

It seems unlikely that the markings would both be underneath at the same time, but I never really noticed on mine if they are in the same place from a rotational standpoint. I have a spare HKS cam that I'll try to remember to take a look at and see where the markings actually are located on those. I think mine are either from 2004 or 05

You can check with a shop that has some on hand as well.
