n2o... Why don't we see much of it?
So I know the wholericer stigma with it and all but I'm just wondering why it's rarely/never brought up in the evo community? I know it's not for everyone but it does have it's place. Even if it's just for street guys to spool up their larger turbos, it's worth the buy in costs, yet I never hear anyone mention it.
I was thinking a built 37r setup or 6765 with a sma shot to spool it would be a fun little street setup and fairly cost effective. :? |
IMo not needed for that small of a turbo anyway.
On top of it tuning is more involved with nitrous, and nitrous is a general PITA. I did it back in the day and not used it more then used it due to waiting on bottle pressure, bottle temp, fill ups, ect. Not worth the headache |

you guys are silly...
n2o makes way more power, alot of people on this forum are just followers and do what everyone else does.If a few people when 9s with n2o on stock turbo...everybody and their momma would be spraying. ive considered it,i just need to find someone to tune it,with my IX turbo.that would be fun, fo sho!! |
I'm not looking to run it at peak boost, and I already run e85 100% of the time, but with a 37r I think it would work out pretty good in situations where a viper or supra owner get cocky from a roll and your looking to spool it up a little quicker. I know it's not talked about here since the rules don't allow discussion of street stuff but there's a lot of people and shops here that like to play. Just wondring why no one really ventures into it. Plenty of other turbo platforms use it.

You can run it with no problem... Get a wet kit and get help setting up with the proper jets. Make sure you have a wideband as well to keep afrs in check.
Cheers! |

Too much worry about bottle pressure. Plus the extra tuning involved with a turbo car is a little more involved IMHO. dont get me wrong, I have had fun with nitrous, but it got old after a short while. |
Evo are going 8's without nitrous and boost only so why bother? not to mention nos causes alot of failures due to people unable to tune w/ it. I'm also pretty sure the more and more you spray your motor the weaker it becomes and causing failure on its own.

Cheers! In my ricer head this sounds like a nice setup. Buscher aluminum rod 2.0L with br head, 67mm something(most likely a precision turbo in ets kit) and a progressive shot of around 100hp until the turbo spools up. |
I plan on using a 100 wet shot to help spool the Billett 6765 I'm slapping on my built 2.0 Going from the 6262 I think the extra 100shot will more than help cover the midrange losses going to the 6765. I will be wiring it up to the AEM and shutting it off a preset boost level and rpm.

no body uses or talks bout it on the ralliart(04-06) either. its almost like its taboo round here. im throwing a really small dry shot on my ralliart just to toy with. the shot im using is too small to really justify a wet kit

It's on the list of mods we are going to try over the next few months. |
