Make sure the gasket surface is clean and then go. A couple of bolts and you are done.

John thank you for responding Is a new gasket necessary? Or can I reuse the ole one? 05 EVO 32k miles thanks |
Get a new gasket when you buy the housing. I'm pretty sure the oil thermostat is in the housing too so you may need to transfer that to the new part. Also, be sure to get new crush washers for the banjo bolts that to to the oil cooler lines. It's literally three bolts that hold it on, and two big 22mm bolts for the oil cooler.
