RC 1000's vs PTE 1000's
are they both good injectors?
|
I know PTE is gangster i dont see to many folks rocking Rc injectors but PTE and FIC for sure.
|
i agree. PTE and FIC are great injectors, know a couple people running them on blacks making good, safe, reliable power on stock motors. im actually planning on doing the same build, so keep me posted! gl with the build

been running RC1000 since 06, aprox 60k miles with no issues. I'd say they're fine.

Got PTE 1200's for my build, win :D

A caution note...if you have any plans on running e85,rc's are not compatible.if u still are considering them I have a set ill let go for a deal...they just need lower seals. I swapped out for the fic's and love em....

^??? Been running rcs on e85 for ever. You are misinformed.

No matter whose name is on it, if the injector is a pintle type - that means if it has what looks like a large metal pin protruding from the tip, you do NOT want to use it with E85. Why? It isn't the E85, but the residue that it can leave behind that positively compromises a pintle type injector, and has caused the death of more than one engine as of late.
The ball type injectors are relatively unaffected. FYI |
excellent info as usual Ted, thanks.

have been running 750 rc's for a while and just bought 1000s to run when i go bigger turbo, no problems here.

+1 I didn't have any issue with buildup, but the seals included did not like e85. Within a couple days of switching, developed one heck of a boost leak at the injector seals. When I took them out, there was definite signs of deterioration of the seals. After researching I decided to get the fic since they are a ball type rather than just putting the viton seal kit on the rc's.

Ok, but not everyone been so lucky. If one in 20 loses an engine, it's unacceptable.
Again, I strongly recommend avoiding any pintle type injector with E85. There is no good reason to use them when other types fare better. |
