Supertech spring retainer kit vs gsc spring retainer kit??
 
Trying to choose a spring retainer kit cause Im having valve flutter and some valve float..My choose is between supertech dual valve spring kit or the gsc spring kit ??Im using gsc2 cams with 6262 TURBO..

I would use the GSC Spring retainer kit.. The 5041 kit with Springs, Retainers and Seats is what you need for your setup.. I like the GSC because the retainers are SUPER LIGHT!!!

It does not cause engine damage normally.. Its easy to spot as well.. There will be a drop in power right where it hits peak TQ usually or a set RPM.. its easy to hear also if you know what your listening for..

I keep hearing great things about the supertech kit buschur uses them in his stage 3 heads..What does lighter retainers do??

Exactly mike just the power drops and motor picks up lots of knock do to the stock springs..I then I wondered why I didn't make lots of power of the stock sticks.

Both are great kits, and have proven themselves time and time again. It probably will come down to the price, and if you can get a deal on one.

I went with the Supertech as they ended up being cheaper and they are just as proven. You have to do some actual research if you do not want to be swayed by shops bias or want to sell a product.
