Would K&N Drop in filter add anything to Al's mail in REflash?

Hey guys & Al, if I added a K&N drop in filter + mail in Reflash, would I see any different gains then just the Mail in Reflash? Just curious to see if you (Al) have any maps for stock car with just drop in filter. Please help!

Yes of course it would. I just noticed in another thread ( which one) where Al suggested to someone to add the K&N flat panel.

Hey Al, whatcha think about an open air filter like AEM vs. the K&N drop in? Any results between the two when using in conjunction with your reFlash?

Just thought others might want to know as well.

What about the oil on the filter messing with the MAS? Is that really a problem on these cars? I ran a K&N in my Mustang for years and never had a problem with the MAF, but I have seen a few people comment on the problem here. I really need to pull my ECU and send it to you; been dragging my feet.

yes, my air box was so oily after just a few day of use. the oil definitly got to the MAS but some people said it shouldn't cause any problem because it use only radio wave to detector air flow. and I love the gain!

The cone filters ALL through off the tune dramatically and you need a custom dyno flash to match the intake

On the other hand the drop in filter does not significantly change the maf reading but does raise power

As for the oil issue - we have seen no problems thus far
