using stock retainers on upgraded springs???

Has anyone upgraded their valves springs and reused the stock retainers? I got a set of new Kelford springs that supposedly work with the stock retainers. Is it better I upgrade the retainers also?

I guess that would depend on your goals...what cams, hp goal, rpm you plan on revving to...

I just bought some gsc s2 cams and had the same question. looking to get to 450 /500 awhp....next is a hta green??? or red? and some 1000 pte injectors .....so beehive or not????:confused:

its fine. plenty of people running upgraded springs with stock retainers.
