New AEM Ignition Coils - CDI performance!

Who's going to be the first to test these?
I wonder if they actually produce results?

Whats the benefit of having a 2.9ms spark duration?

Cheers, Mike

longer spark duration can allow for more complete ignition and burn of fuel/air. think about when u light a cig if u just flick the flame for a second u dont get the complete cig lit, but if u hold it on for a second or two you get a complete light. lol kind of crude example but w/e

i understand that what you're trying to say, but i didn't think that really applied to engines.
Just think if your smoke is made out of explosives. A flick on the lighter or a 3 second flame isn't going to make any difference. In the end it will still explode in your face :)

And that fact that the 103mJ of energy is spread across 2.9ms of spark duration means that it is a "weaker" spark?
As opposed to 103mJ of energy over 1ms.

lol its pretty late had a long weekend so its the best i could come up with haha. that depends if its 103mj constant for 2.9ms or if that is total voltage produced per spark. i'm not sure how its measured, im just throwing things out there

Wow...Im hoping good feedback on this AEM Ignition Coils...^^

Btw, can we apply normal grease as mentioned on here : Apply a liberal amount of dielectric grease to the connector terminals and the tip and body of the spark plugs.
