BF 272's Who is running them?

Hey guys did a search didn't find much. I am looking at either getting the BF 272's or STM 650's I have not had a lot of luck finding any kind of reviews, dyno sheets or comparisons on them. If you are running these or have ran these your input on their performance is greatly appreciated. I am running a 2.2LR with a 10.5:1 CR FP Black Fully Ported head with oversized valves and all the other supporting mods

im running the BF 272's now. awesome cams, they are proven time and time again to work.. STM 650's only if the car is going to be making 650+ on a mustang dyno

bf 272 cams are amazing. they work extremely well.

The STM cams make more peak power than our BF272's, the BF's are a broader power band.

so the better set-up for really good power down the drag strip but still good to street a 650-700hp evo would probably be the BF 272's?

Correct. I would pair the STM 650's with say a HTA3794 or an overall drag strip monster. The BF272's are a good compromise for both street and track. Considering you have an FP Black, I would say the BF272's are just right.

BF272s all the way... STM650s are great cams for Pure Drag Racers As stated 3794, 6765 turbos in that nature

Right on guys looks like I was on the right track, thanks for confirming that!!!

does anyone know what lift these are comparable to, i am sure they are a lot bigger than 272's are they more like 280's?

David Buschur Oct 11, 2011 11:40 AM

272 is the duration, 280 also refers to the duration. Lift is completely different and we don't advertise the specs of the cams. Just know they work well.

Could you tell me the advantages and disadvantages of a 272 over a 280?
