Injector seals, on the cheap from O'reilly's Auto Parts
I know everyone has been in a pinch and needed the big injector seal that goes into the intake mani... I needed some today and after doing a bit of research I ran across some at O'Reilly's auto parts. It is a seal kit for a 2000 Toyota Tacoma 2.4, Borg Warner Fuel Injector Seal Kit, Part Number: 274531. The kit is $3.99 per injector, however it was a tad cheaper with the ole military discount... Thought this might help if you can't wait on them from the dealer!

Man, what timing. I'm planning on getting my car tuned next weekend, did another boost leak test just for sh*ts 'n' giggles, found out that one of my injectors is leaking upwards of 26psi.
I'll have to run up to oriellys and see if I can't get a few sets of these. Thanks man! |
Nice! How'd you figure that one out?
If all the seals in the kit fit our injectors, let me know and I'll put through a catalog update for it. |
All of them do minus the big o-ring, which doesn't fit anything...

Getting an E85 smell from near the injectors so I just picked up this kit 274531. Curious why the above quote notes to use all the seals except the large one. To me the 2nd & last from left are the only ones to use EDIT: Freddie PM'd me. Got it figured out http://images.oreillyauto.com/parts/...d/274531_1.jpg |
This kit did not work for me. Performed the install using the 3 seals (upper, lower & the seal below the uppers (channeled seal) Note: The channeled seal does not fit the RC injector. So I only used the upper seal
Cranked over the motor (did not start) & immediately had a small fountain of corn juice pissing all over. Checked to find fuel leaking at the bottom seals. Removed everything & measured the OEM bottom seal vs the BWD. Huge dimensional difference in O.D. & I.D. Anyway, Used my original bottom seals & used the BWD upper seal. P.S. The reason I changed my seals is that I had a small fuel leak somewhere at the injectors. See torn upper seal bottom left IMO. This BWD kit is not right Peace, Joe https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...827ff9259b.jpg |

Military discount for the win. I love when people give me those...makes me sad when others dont!
