does anyone recognize whose dyno this is? i really wanna see what setup he's running

i've NEVER seen an evo make this much torque at 3,000 RPM. that's like B5 S4 torque {OMG}
the b5 s4 has a twin turbo V6 for those that don't know

Attachment 336172

any proof that's an evo?

STi's make big low-end torque numbers and that RPM/redline is much more similar to the ej engine

Boltz. Jun 21, 2012 12:20 PM

That's Robert's, owner of FP.

this was straight from the first post of a build thread on this forum. i didn't change the image file name either - fp-EVO-BLACK-dynoLG.jpg

it makes me sad that i didn't save the build information :(

Sounds like another Audi owner in disbelief...oo

2.3L / MIVEC / 5R cams / etc. Unknown on the headwork. Boost is obviously pretty high. I believe it had a 3" O2 housing with a good transition as well.

I dont think it was a buschur motor cause the dyno was old and the 2.3rpm is fairly new

Looks like a big block graph, except it doesn't end at 5000 rpm. :P

bsh Jun 25, 2012 10:41 AM

Wow that was an impressive curve... I dont remember I have seen anything like it for a 2.3 before... 600 whp @ 5000 rpm. Normally it is 500 whp @ 5000 rpm in a nice setup.

I would say mine is right in the same range as this dyno. I'm running 33 psi compared to 42 psi, and it's been shown that Cobb's dyno runs 4% higher than the one mine was ran on. I consider my build middle of the road.

It also may have had a modified MIVEC gear on it as well.

i would, but he probably gets enough phone calls as is - so i'm just trying to find his username or thread on here. if i had his username, i'd be able to "Search by username"

so does anyone know his EvoM name?

94AWDcoupe Jul 28, 2012 11:46 PM

I searched and couldnt find it. I did find the ultimate pump gas thread where the car was detuned to 4R and htagreen. I think someone otherr than robert posted the black graph. it doesn come up in search under his screen name.
some details by my memory
2.3 at 9/1
motec with like 20 additional sensors.
one off bosch motorsport coils.
some chamber and bowl work to head
id 1000s at 75psi base pressure. weldon reg, bosch 044 inline
down pipe was special with wastegate to relieve back pressure in downpipe
