Pte 6262BB won't spool on 2.0L block.
Hey, Car was on the Dyno yesterday, and we couldn't get the turbo to spool. It would hit full boost (17Psi) at 7500rpm and at 3000rpm -200 Trq
We did boost leak, compression, leak down... all the tests were properly done.. Anyone have and idea ? So far, Ive been told my injectors are to big 1425 for 94oct. and my GSC S2 cams might be an issue also.. have you checked the condition of the turbo? perhaps it is blown. an smoke at WOT or in/out shaft play?
|
Sounds more like a turbo issue. Take the turbo off and check compressor and turbine blades.
|
It is for sure not the cams and those injectors should have no problems on pump gas. It's most likely a problem with the turbo or wastegate. Is the wastegate stuck open? Is there any strange noise or smoke while the turbo is spooling? Will the car idle and cruise correctly?
|
sounds like a wastegate/boost controller issue.
|
Turbo is brand new... no issues. Wastegate is unplugged ... plz keep sending ideas guys,

The Grimmspeed boost controller is unplugged therefore running wastegate pressure?

sounds like a winner, check and see if you have the 17psi spring in the WG and if so,you know that's what's up.
but then why would only hit full boost at 7500rpm ? |
Wastegate or BOV bleeding off air is my guess.

Are you running a catalytic converter that could be clogged/broken? |
bang, right on the kisser!
|
If that all checks out ok then check that you don't have any rags or newspaper stuffed in your intercooler piping from when the car was taken apart. I've seen that happen before, found it in the intercooler inet.
