Weapon R's Evo intake kit

Hello everyone....we just got done testing and developing an air intake for the new Evo's. The car we tested it on had an HKS ssbv on it so we made his intake with no blow off valve dump line. The owner was very satisfied with performance. He noticed that after instaling the blow off valve, the car would sometimes shut off or stumble at idle. We are asking for your opinions on this matter. Have you evo owners noticed this when installing aftermarket blow off valves? the reason we are asking for your opinions is because we plan to make one pipe with a fitting large enough to fit the oem blow off valve line. All feedback is welcome...please no flames as this is a peaceful thread

if it is VTA then I believe that screws up the MAF readings. He needs a recirc kit on it...I think evomoto.com has an HKS SSBV with recirc kit for sale.

Someone correct me if I am wrong obviously.

I have the TurboXS RFL BOV that VTA, but I prefer the intake pipe without the bov dump pipe ! I have NO problem with my VTA BOV.

we can make the intake pipe without the hole for the dump/return tube.....kit comes with a chrome tube..and your choice of yellow, chrome, red or blue filter.

some cars will work with it vented to the air, others will not. Technically, it is "wrong", as the MAF is reading air twice, and as a result will literally dump fuel between shifts or when you let off the throttle.

With an open element air filter, you'll at least be able to hear the sound if you route it back to the intake, though it is far more pronounced with a BOV vented to air.

With a MAP sensor fitted to replace the MAF, you can vent anyway you want
