Can't plug in injectors!
Hi all,
So I just installed my new 1200cc RC injectors on my Evo 9, and am having a weird issue... The connectors should be plug and play, but with the injectors in I can't plug the connectors back on. Basically the metal on the fuel rail gets in the way of the connector. I took the following picture: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/me...ctor-35310.jpg As you can see there are two pieces of metal that jut down towards the connector. This prevents the connector for getting on there. Before I resort to drastic measures, I wanted to know if I may have done something wrong, or if this is a known issue... Thanks! S. |
i had a similar issue when i installed my precision 880's today. i just rotated the injectors so the clip part was not in that grove and plugged in. every has been running fine with my afr's. i even drove 200 miles today just to get enough testing/ logging
although it seems there would be no issues with grinding the tabs down. |
^agree with this. I had to pretty much wiggle the injectors around and get it plugged in that way.

Loosen the fuel rail and just keep wiggling the injector around tell the plug goes on.

That is like that on purpose. The injector plug is held in place by the fuel rail. Plug the injectors in before you tighten the fuel rail down.

Thanks guys!
I just wanted to make sure I hadn't forgotten something... Thanks! S. |
