That's it I quit. Transmission dowel alignment help needed!!!
 

I slid the transmission back onto the block, through the clutch disc / pressure plate and all was good, Got the dowel pin closest to fire wall aligned up and the one opposite is not aligned up completely.. The transfer case is all bolted back to the transmission, all the mounts are back in together everything lines up PERFECT except for this last dowel pin from the block to the transmission.. I even have the top 2 transmission bolts (in between the dowel pins) on and secured... Every time I try to turn the transmission or jack it up the motor goes with it... I need some serious :helpme:

How can I get it to align back up?

I turned the crank pulley to ensure that the clutch disc went with it and all was well.

Did it wiggle around when you had the bell housing bolts loose? That would be the first thing I would try, loosen all the bolts so they're threaded but not tight. If you can't wiggle it then it's binding on something.

Its also easier to bolt tcase up last.

Everything was aligned and I was hoping that by installing everything around it it would pop the dowell into its hole.. so I did the tcase and nothing still.

Yes the Tcase is LAST, in no way would that help line up the trans with the engine block. Since it only bolts to the trans.
Do all the trans bolts go in? Looks like something is binding on the plate, is the plate stright?
How far is the dowel pin off?

I make sure all the trans bolts are in before i even put on the Frame to trans mount, or the Sub frame rear mount to trans. I torque all of my trans bolts down before anything else goes in and i make sure it all lines up. If its wrong well it wont shift correctly since its not stright to the clutch

I have the top two bolts in all the way, the right side dowell pin is in all the way and the left side needs to move maybe an 1/8 inch tiny amount and then slide in.

what other bolts are there from the trans to the block?

Don't tighten down the bolts until it is all lined up. Finger tight (at most) to hold the transmission. Hopefully, the dowels aren't damaged now from being tightened down. Once I have it that close, I usually lean over the driver's side fender and grab around the transmission. I then push the transmission in while turn the transmission whatever direction necessary to line up the dowels. Sometimes, it goes on the first try and sometimes it takes several attempts. The input shaft has to be lined up to go in that far, so you can rotate it a little to get it straight.

Re seperate the tcase, take the trans out of the driver side mount and rear trans mount and leave the top two trans bolts finger tight and try again? Every time I tried to move the transmission to wiggle it left or right once it was already on the input shaft the block wiggled right with it.

I'm also confused on evomoto's part where it says there is 3 transmission bolts holding it to the block in this picture...

I only have two.. The third hole closest to the firewall is my dowel pin hole which is already seated... What gives?

Yeah I installed a bolt there just now, I could have sworn that hole was where the dowel pin on that side was fitted into.. Guess I was wrong.

So you got the trans lined up?

No, I installed the bolt in that third hole closest to firewall just to check..

If I cant get any input on here I'm going to

go all the way back in steps and retry it..

Everything is lined up everywhere except for that lower left dowel closest to front bumper.

I feel like I could place a jack right under it on the seem of the trans and pop it into place as long as the motor didn't want to tag along with it..

Take the tcase off. Then loosen the other bolts.

Will do tomorrow and I'll report back when I have.

Also how should the clutch fork be resting when you get the trans back on? Mine is completely towards the passenger side of the car.
