Transmission won't engage

Hi
I have an 05 evo 8, and installed an new act clutch kit. Now the transmission won't go In to gear, only (1,3,5 )goes in gear and (2,4,in revser) won't go in gear, this is having the car off, not turn on. I've try bleeding, looking at the cable shiftlinkage an theres nothing wrong with it. Could it be an clutch installed error ? Anyhow help would've be great !!!! Thanks

I would check your shifter cables/bushings. I bought a 91 laser years ago from a guy that said he couldn't get it into 1st or reverse. I looked at the cables first and then noticed that one of the cable bushings were completely worn out. I made a good $1200 profit after spending $30 on bushings and 15 minutes of my time.

Umm I'll double check the shift cable to make sure it's not bent or twisted, I also notice that the clutch fork is hard to push, when I tried to release the throw-out bearing? Is that normal ?

Took it apart an found out the clutch bearing fall apart when installing that's why it's so hard to shift 2,4,r . In the process of buying an new bearing hopefully that solves the issues.

Get rid of the ACT while youre at it. Horrible clutch for these cars. Go exedy HD, you will have a much better clutch

For the first time ever, for the last month I've been hearing about throw out bearing coming apart. Somebody made a bad batch of these things. Are there any markings on the one that failed so we know what to avoid?
