I need help asap
Hello all,
Since I have to wait 15 days and post 15 times for whatever reason. I'm in dyer need of an Evo 8 motor mainly a stock low mile block. Mine lost oil pressure and threw a rod. Please help! Thanks |
If you don't have time you can go on strictly modified dsm/ evo FB page and find what you need.
|
You can find stock oem evo 8 long blocks on ebay these days for a decent price. Shipping is only an extra $200.00 bucks and the drop it off in front of your house.

It's easy to create a fb page of your really in need of one that or eBay is definitely your best bet
|
I deactivated my fb. For a reason. Plus there is never any stock shortblocks on there. I turned to this site in hopes of some luck

You should really just take the opportunity to do a built short block. If you don't have the funds, you could find an Evo 5-7 (avoid the Evo 4) motor from one of the jdm importers that do engines and front clips, such as http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mitsubishi-L...IAAOSwKrhVcyg-
But remember, with a used motor there is no telling how long it will last. |
Thanks man I was looking into the evo 5-7 but I don't really know the differences except 6speed trans. Will it work with my ecu or will I need to do a full harness and ecu?
|
I think any Evo 5-8 motor should be plug and play. You are not swapping out your harness or ecu. Craigslist is also a good place to look, for example here is one relatively local to me https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pts/5351643308.html
