Lean AFR's, Break up WOT
Whatsup EvoM, I've run into a small, random issue that I was going to address once I'm back home but wanted to see what tips people would have to help solve this problem. So, long story short:
*THIS IS A EVO IX, WALBRO 450 on E85. Stock Lines, FPR* Being easy on the gas, just building boost a tad, my AFR's sit at 15.2. No matter what gear but once I let off of the gas, AFR's go down to 11.2. Fuel is being dumped while taking off from stops as well to where the car almost stalls itself out then picks back up. Just to see, I gave it a test hit the other day and the AFR's hit a solid 17 and I felt like I was being pushed back throughout the pull. The car runs fine, just driving but I was going to focus on one thing at a time. I'm not sure if anyone has had a similar problem or not but I hope this is a good description of the problem. I wish I could upload a Video so you guys could see but I am on a business trip at the moment. I'm thinking it's something with the Fuel Pump, Bad Relay, Injectors? Thank you guys for reading! |
When did the problem start? After 450 install?
|
Nah, I've had the 450 in since Feb. I believe. It came out of no where, started my car on Wednesday and it had a funny idle. Got that taken care of but now there is a fuel issue.

Make sure your fuel pressure regulator line hasnt popped off. Another possibility is the fuel pump grommet may have torn or the pump may not be fully seated up against the fuel pump hangar

I'll give these a try once I'm home and update, Much appreciated Sir!

You'll know what's up once you fit a fuel pressure gauge.
