Clogged internal fuel hanger issues

I've had to replaced my fuel hanger one before because my internal filter has gotten clogged. I check my fuel sock every year I bring the car out of storage to make its a ok. I have -6 for feed and return, stm rail, and ID1700x. Now I want to eliminate that bs of an internal fuel filter in the hanger and run an external on my -6 feed line. I've modified two hangers for a 450, but have never opened one up fully. To me, I could not figure out what was the best way to do before I go ape sh*t on it and end up breaking it.

For who have opened one up, what was the process?
Has anyone else's internal filter get clogged and break down from e85?

So everyone just cuts it away. I wanted to reuse the factory feed nipple but that doesn't seem likely?

Did you read the link above. One of the double pumps uses the factory feed so you can use the stock fuel line.
