Clutch adjustment, rod?!?!?!?!

alright so im trying to adjust my clutch pedal tog et my lockout issue resolved.

crawled under the dash and managed to get 1/2 a turn out of the rod and the flat part is currently angled to where i cant turn my dinky ass 6mm wrench anymore.
im not a big dude but just being under the dash and very minimal space, its super frustrating. for those of you that did it, how did you guys manage to do it? tried to turn by hand as well as use needlenose pliers and no avail.
littler switch thing is in the way.

I've always used the mini wrench set that came with my Craftsmen tool box, and it seems to give enough space to work to adjust the pedal. You can try playing with the clutch pedal with your hand while adjusting to take tension off the rod by hand, but for the most part these wrenches worked for me.

Loosen the lock nut with a wrench, and the you can turn the rod by hand if you just push the clutch pedal in a bit. I have a big hands, so unless you have some hulk hands, you should be fine lol

already tried this last night lol and with gloves on. Spent roughly what seemed like 2 hours and only turned 1/2 a turn lol

I use needle nose pliers to turn the rod. It's much easier that way.

If you wiggle the clutch pedal back and forth while turning the rod, it will turn easily.

+1 should turn by hand, super easy, unless something is wrong with it. In that case ,you'll have to wrestle it.

no matter what i tried it just wouldnt budge by hand.

i ended up going to the hardware store and got some 90 degree open end wrenches.
i almost cried because of how well it worked.

sad part is, it didnt solve my lockout issue.......

What exactly is happening that makes you think the clutch pedal needs adjusted?

On what clutch?
I've had 3 different ACT clutches that supposedly lock out at higher RPM. While any clutch will have some degree of adjustment necessary I've found (as well as others that will attest to this) that more often than not the lockout is caused by driver error, not any fault of the clutch.

act. I bought the car used. Lol im pretty sure im shifting right and that its actually locking out. Have the clutch pedal all the way to the floor too. I thought it was just me too and my buddy drove it and got locked out as well. When shifting at redline it get locked out, i hold it there for a split second and it goes in to gear as the rpms drop. I havent blamed the issue on the clutch, but figured trying to adjust the pedal was a cheaper route than a new clutch.

As others have said it should spin freely by hand once the nut is loose.

Perhaps yours is seized or the threads are messed up.
