Evo VI (CP9A) ayc solenoid valve stuck open

What can can be done to valve (the one that is gray colored, has no hexagon screw on top and has two power cord connections). Other valve is ok, tested ot and clicks as should and visually inspected and cleaned.
Anyone experience with these one? Couldn't find thread for this one with search. Need help fast.
- Thanks

Does it not actuate when battery voltage is applied? Have you tested resistance at the terminals? Do you still have continuity?

If you still have good impedance at the solenoid coil try soaking the moving parts in some plastic-safe solvent and giving it a few good hammer hits to see if you can try to free the moving parts up.

Chances are it's either dead shorted or open circuit, in which case you'll be best off tossing it in a bin and ordering another one.

PS: Don't hold 12v to it too long when testing for a click, especially when using a battery without current limiting. That ****er will get very hot and will happily burn you. I prefer current-limited DC power supplies for testing solenoids.

take a small screwdriver and try pushing the pison inside a bit.. see if it will unstick. Then apply 12 V, best trough some 2 ohm resistor.. (ceramic one.. ) and see if it works...
