Is my setup good for 600+whp ?

Hi! My main question is what turbo's are good for around 650-800hp and not as strong as the 42R Garrett. And what do you think about my setup and how can i improve it for future use(up to 800hp) Thanks!
My current mods are:
gt35r precision turbo kit w/ ams manifold
Ams Fuel rail/1000cc injectors
Eagle rods, Ross pistons(.030) bored 8:8:1
272 camshafts
BC springs and retainers, BC 1mm oversized valves, Acl bearings
Ported head
Shepard trans 5-speed
Grimm speed boost solenoid
3.5” ETS wide tank FMIC
HKS turbo back Exhaust
fuel pump 255

no.

i made 500 on a mustang dyno with a 35R, E85 and 2150 injectors...
and two 255 pumps

Definitely going to want to upgrade to a different turbo and work on the fuel system to reach that goal. But otherwise you seem to have a solid platform to work with outside that area.

You will need more fuel regardless of the turbo. Double pumper and bigger injectors should be on your next list of mods.

ok thanks for the feedback. I know i can't get 600 with the 35r but instead the FP Black with my setup. And like you said, better fuel system. Honestly I started my build around 8 years ago and never finished it. I recently got it fixed up by Doug @ DBW Motorsports and he is a god working on these cars. The first start up was a success and after my break-in, he's gonna tune it and im thinking around 500hp what you think?

Absolutely reasonable numbers just be wary of the torque with those rods.

I've seen decent power made on Eagle rods you should be fine. Just don't get greedy on the timing. I am assuming that this is still a standard 2.0?

Flyhigh Mar 3, 2019 12:07 PM

I still have the stock crank but just changed the pistons(8:8:1). Honestly at first i just wanted it to run and your right my greediness does sneak up on me lol. Ill think about the fuel options during the break in period. I'm fine with around 500-550 for now.

Most of this has already been answered, but all you will need is the FP Black or larger turbo, 1700cc or larger injectors for E85, and a single Walbro 450 or larger. Compression is fine for it, but I believe the eagle rods are the same Chinese billet forgings as the Manley and K1 H beams. I would stay near 500 ft lbs Max just to be safe, or throw in some Turbo Tuff I beams to be safe. We'll have a close setup.

Ive hit 600 on a single 255 and 1200cc pte but 8an 6an however your set up seems out dated.

I wouldnt feel very good pushing 600 with H beam that arent Carillo or H beam Tuff at least.

Run a PTE6062 at least and change to FIC 1650cc or 1700 ID and at least a single walbro 450 hardwired.

yea that makes a lot of sense. When i plan on going E-85 and turning up the boost, I'll switch the rods out to something more reliable. Thanks man
