New member with a question / Injector Question

Hello,

I registered here years ago, and have searched the forums for some information in the past, but this is my first time posting. I do not own an EVO, but I am rebuilding and upgrading a 1991 DSM that will include various EVO parts. That brings me to my first question. I'm planning to use stock EVO 8 injectors in my build but I am finding multiple part numbers. I know that I am looking for the "pink top" 560cc injectors. Searching around the net I find MN153193, MD319791, and MD348478 all listed as stock EVO 8 injectors with widely varying prices and I'm a bit confused. Is there a single correct part number? Was the part number superseded by a new number at some point?

Thanks.

Thanks for posting up. LOL, you and joined on the same year / month

I cant help much w/your question but have found the stock 9 injector part no. as MN153193 (this no. appears to be still avail & offered by many Mitsu suppliers)

Hoping some of the other more knowledgeable injector guys can help out

We joined around the same time, but you have a few more posts than I do HA!

Thanks for the reply. I *think* I have narrowed it down a little, maybe somebody can tell me if I am right or wrong.

It appears that MN153193 are for the Evo IX, while MD319791 are for the EVO 8, and MD348478 are for earlier EVOs. Not 100% sure on that though.

Heres one of the known Mitsu suppliers showing the MN153193 as both the 8 & 9

I wouldn't buy stock injectors new. You can probably get a set of 1000's for less money from Fuel Injector Clinic

Stock EVO 8 560's are what I need for my current project. I can get one of those part numbers very cheap, but I want to be sure of exactly what I'm getting. If I need to go bigger later I'll do that when the time comes.
