I'd like your advice guys
Hey guys,
Been back and forth in and out for the longest time. I got a Tiburon GT for a while to toy with but it was totaled thanks to a retard who wasn't paying attention and I'm back in the market. Lookin at the Evo that I originally wanted but was shied away from.
Only problem is I'm also in deep consideration between the 350z. I like the looks of the 350, the interior kills to me. It's a badass car and I like RWD. I know it's more expensive to modify, I mean 5k+ just to FI the car. However the Evo is always my first love. I have yet to OWN my very own AWD vehicle. I've driven plenty of them but not on a daily basis. Maybe you guys could give me pro's con's and/or reviews as to what I should do. Hopefully you guys can help me out in my decision cause I intend to go within the week. So please if you all can help a fellow car enthusiast out it would be greatly appreciated! THANKS GUYS!

Well you said it yourself. You like the Z because of the looks and interior. You know its slower than the Evo and its not cheap to mod it. Im sure you know the pros and cons of both cars, one has better looks and interior to you, but the other is faster and handles better, simple as that. The best way is to test drive both cars and see which one chaps your A$$. This has been discussed many times between the Evo and the Z so if you want more info you can try the search button. I agree with you on the interior of the Z but I personally think the Evo looks better on the outside
I dont like how the Z looks from the back but im sure it would look much better with a spoiler.

hell yeah!!! thanks guys! I appreciate everything you guys have contributed. Believe it or not it has made my decision much easier. I actually agree with a lot of what you guys said. So I'm gonna go take a final spin in both cars and see which one "chaps my a$$" lol. Thanks again guys, you rox mah sox
pretty biased site to be asking that question...
regardless of what you do...
they are both amazing cars...
but just know... that if you get the 350z, all us Evo'ers out there won't hesitate to blow past you... =)

I used to have a Z and its an ok car. Pretty fast and looks good. But it was so damn expensive to mod. Plus the mods didnt really make that much hp.
I kept the car for a year and finally got my an evo. WOW! What can I say! Its got so much more potential and the looks are great. If I had it to do all over again I would definatley do it again.
Make the right decision and stick with your first choice, the EVO!!!!

I was going through the same thing a few weeks ago (deciding on the Z or the EVO). Long story short I'm picking up my EVO today. Why? Well, even though I think the Z is a good looking car (I also love the EVO look) I went with power over "pretty" if ya know what I mean. Looks only last so long.
One thing I noticed that I guess could be considered a pro for the Z is the ladies love em. Every girl I've asked about the EVO doesn't seem to like it
They will soon enough

the 350 z is nice, for a womans car , but an evo - that tells people around you that a man is on the road. andvnot trying to guess what woman is behind the wheel of the 350z. or what is wrong with this man for not getting a real sports car..., especially when he had an option to get an evo! lol
Z is more reliable. Can't go wrong with a nissan sports car. BUT, the tunablity isn't really there. i have a friend who put the greddy kit on his Z....cost him a sh*t ton of money, depends all on what you want. less headache, less tunability....or.....more headache, more tunablity(referring to Mitsu's crappy service dept). and yeah, the ladies will like the Z. cuz it doesn't have the jet pilot spoiler on the back.

It is?
Anyhow,
Take into consideration what you like the most. Alot of people nailed the most common points:
Looks
Performance
etc,.
which one do you value more? Looks? Get the Z...performance...get the evo.

Get the Z if any of the following apply
1. You are in a mid life crisis and want something that you will still like in a year
2. Have money to burn if you want to tinker
3. Have a wife that doesn't want her t1tt1es jiggling over every bump.
Get the Evo if
1. You are young enough not to care about looking almost like rice
2. Want to see bang for the buck
3. Your wife has a 350 or small t1tt1es

I like mhutch's suggestions.... Everyone keeps saying that the Z is expensive to mod (which it is), but they are certainly cheaper to keep on the road. My fiance has a Z and I must admit that its a pretty nice car, but I bought the Evo for the performance only. If you are looking for anything else, then get the Z. She uses her's as a daily driver which works well, but I just dont see driving my Evo to work every single day as a daily driver. It's horrible on gas and just costs serious money for maintence.
