My Evo8 looks NAKED!!!
HELP...my Evo8 looks naked!!!
Here's my story...after putting a deposit on a 2003 Evo8, the dealer informs me that someone broke in to the dealership and stole the infamous Evo8 rear deck wing. There is oly 3 problems with this situation:
1. There is a 30 to 60 day backorder
2. The replacement wing is $1,300 from the dealer (let me know if you have the part #)
3. The replacement wing still has to be painted (approx $200)
4. Lastly...the dealer installed the regular Lancer wing without geeting my authorization (I guess he thought I would not notice!?!?)
Well, I guess my main concern is if this is a deal killer and should look else where to purchase my Evo. Secondly, I am really worried that the dealer (in an effort to make up for the loss of the original wing) has drilled extra mounting points in the rear deck for the standard Lancer wing.
By the way...I negotiated the dealer price down to 20,000 due to this issue.
Anyone with .02 to offer...I am all ears!!!!
