I dunno if this is a rumor, but melissa, PhatlancerOZ, just called me and told me she saw a silver Evo 7 on the road just now in middlesex county in NJ. she also said there must be another because her friend has seen one, im not sure what color the other one was. just lettin ya'll know.

 

To the Batmobile robin! We must find this EVO and steal its wheels!

My friend claimed to have seen one (yellow) at the Garden State Plaza a couple months back. Both sightings seem to be in earnest, but itd' be difficult to get confirmation on where they came from and how they became legal without talking to the owners.

I almost saw a white one on 605 freeway in CA. It was raining and really dark at night. I got up closer, it's a white Lancer OZ with EVO7 spoiler. At night it can almost fool people.

That spoiler matches the OZ pretty nicely.

 

I saw one at the chicago auto show...man it makes the OZ look whimpy...the fender flares...pictures don't do them justice...they really flare out. I was all over that car at the show....i was underneath it takin pictures.....people were like what in the hell! That wing is humungo! MAN! and the intercooler just looks downright tough! That front bumber cover can't get much skimpier! Oh and those 14.5 inch rotors....all i can say is damn!

Oh yeah....They also had the car locked up so ya couldn't get in it. I was hopin to sit in it. but oh well....but soon will be!

 

im trying to gety a 7 right now hehehe french blue....sponsers agreed to gimme $ to import one from e.i. only thing is i gotta go in and call up e.i. with the shop...hopefully all goes well and in a couple months ill be at the lancer meet with a 7

yea guys i almost crashed when i seen the evo 7, i saw it in avenel when i was drivin to my friends house. there is a good chance that i know the kid, so when i find out who he is ill talk to him and get some info and maybe some pics wit my digi.

I wished I lived in NJ too!!! There's supposed sighting of a black EVO down the Glen Burnie area. I let you know what I see.

 

They are mean cars up close. I saw a few when I was in the UK for the rally. In particular, we were leaving a service on the motorway and one pulled up in the lane on our left to turn next to us.... luckily UK cars are RHD so I was about 2 ft away from the Evo7. It had a great sound, kind of growling. Could see the big rotors and I think red calipers in the wells, the fender flares were pretty mean too. The front mesh grill also adds a lot to the car.

There were only a few Evo's there at the rally... but I ended up getting to see a 2, 5, 6, TME, and 7 I think, it's hard to remember now. Also saw a R34 GT-R and about a bazillion WRXs and Impreza Turbos. The most Evos I saw were the rally cars themselves, Group N was full of Evos.

But if/when you get a chance to see an Evo in person, you will not be disappointed. They make the US Lancer look like a kid's toy.

 

I agree Farve, that Evo in person looked great. I feel bad though, cuz I had the hookup with Mitsu. The guy I bought my OZ from was working the info desk for Mitsu, and I was at the show early, so he opened it up and let me sit in it. They were a few people around and they were pissed they couldnt get in. Its odd, the interior is pretty much like an OZ except for a few trim pieces and the wheel. Seats are insane though, I want Recaros bad now, lol.
