When they were driving it out of the But I wanted the car that they had, and dealt w/ all of this BS because of that. But I will never go back there again, nor recommend anyone going there.
The guy who drive my car out of the showroom ( I presume he is the owner) , had ME hold one of the doors open, ( I didnt know that was part of purchasing a car) while he yelled and insulted his two salesmen/spotters, calling them idiots and what not. Said the car was brand new, so I couldn't test drive, when I actually check the mileage, the dang thing has 105 miles on it already! One shady dealership w/ terrible ethics and very unprofessional.
DONT PUT UP WITH THE DEALERS ****!!!
I don't know why you guys put up with crap like this (no offense bonestockevo8). Unfortunately it's dealerships like this that give everyone a bad name. The evo is a spectacular car and sometimes we get too excited especially after the test drive. But if any of you guys have trouble from the dealer just get up and leave.
Don't put up with dealers crap
Don't get me wrong, I've met customers that can never be satisfied and are ultimate mooches. Even though you give them a great deal they start bickering stupid things like, “The Evo you sold me has 5 miles on it I wanted Zero." Come on almost every Evo has at least 5 miles on it.
If your an upstanding and understanding customer, and realize that most companies are in business to make a profit. You should be treated like King (or Queen).
If you guys every need my help with dealing with dealerships let me know, Regardless if you’re out of state. I will tell you some of the things you need to do to get a great deal or I will get you the best deal possible myself.

I had a similar experience too. I wanted a black one and the guy told me they had one. I go in to look at it and he tells me it just came in on a truck and they had it at their "storage" place. I decide to go ahead and purchase it because he gave me a good price. Next day, I bring the check and still no car. He said it is being cleaned up. I come back after lunch and they are still "cleaning it". When I finally get it, it has 50 miles on it I notice the sales sticker of another dealership that was on it. This freagin guy got this car from another dealership and lied to me the whole time. Luckily, no problems with the car and I got a great deal, but I'll never go back to that place.
yeah i had a similar experience.. at brad benson mitsu i had a "team" of salesman ganging up on me telling me how good of a deal they are giving me etc etc and trying to break me. ofcourse they tell me how my expectations are crap by putting down online resources but later using it when it suits them.. yeah salesman are scums in general, to them its stab now think about it later

Best advice i've learned and applied is patience AND research....it's hard not to get wrapped up in getting a new car...but it does PAY to shop around...and learn about he car you are buying before you buy........knowledge is power....
I agree with Bonestock...SC Mitsu is terrible. I don't dig their tactics and their service. One other sad thing is...i don't think they REALLY don't know much about their cars.
I went in 'specifically' wanting an 05 GSR....(w/ front diff and ACD..) no ssl...and he kept showing me 04's...and when I told the guy I wanted an 05 for the new options...he says the 04 has them too, that he could get me a good deal on the 04.........whatever....shady to say the least....after that conversation...I started shopping elsewhere....as far as pricing goes..they could never give me a definite answer unless I sat down with them...and 'talked' it over....whatever...
I emailed all the internet sales around my area...and finally got a price online..got a great deal that I was VERY happy with.....
I went down and was in and out within 2 hours...TUSTIN MITSU, CA...(thanks Fred...)
just like Clue?...i would definitely walk if sales guys start BS'in around.....
also......do your dealing online via email....no pressure involved when dealin' from the comfort of your own home....plus...you get to have all your options laid out in front of you instead of drivin' from dealership to dealership....

the internet guy there didn't even touch on the 'markup' topic.... i told him the price i wanted and content with...and we met in the middle....
31,600 OTD on the 05 GSR....
i agree Terry...markups SUCK....

Buying a new car shouldn't be a nightmare from hell. Girls like shopping for clothes. Guys like shopping for cars. IT'S ALL WE HAVE LEFT! Make it enjoyable. Stretch out the research/buying process over at least 2 or 3 succesive weekends and you'll come out ahead. Trust your instincts. If you smell BS chances are that it is. I was told, in order to get me to buy an '04 RS w/100+ miles, that Mitsubishi has officially stopped making the RS model for the '05 year in order to offset the new production numbers of the MR. I give that statement a 7/10 for creativity and a 10/10 for BS. I point blank looked at the guy and said, "you know that's bull$hit, right?". He ran off and got another slimeball to back-up his story. Well now I know there's at least 2 fu*ktards working the same lot. I gave a fake phone number and got the hell out of there. Dealerships that hire people like that should be restricted from selling anything but base model Lancers IMHO.
