My RPMs jump occasionally up past 7,000 will cruising. If I have the A/C on, it is all over the place.

Mine read 279 hp and that is almost 20 more than I put down on a really conservative Mustang dyno, but the run was on race gas. I ran a 12.45 at 110.9 on the 279 hp run.

Is possible to achieve a higher G force in 4th than 2th and 3th gears?
Is possible to achieve a higher HP in 4tn than 2th and 3th gears?
Did someone run a 0-400m with a g-tech?

I'm a little worried because before my MR valve my car did 250 at the wheels in 4th gear, more than in 3th and 2th gears, now after one month and with my MR valve installed my car did 220 at the wheels with a weaker g force in 4th gear... sounds unreal

The power deliver is all about the mapping of air/fuel and ignition timing. If you tuned your car for peak power in 4th while driving it to tune then yes you should have more power at that time. Most tuning is done on a dyno which is a simulated airflow which doesn't increase as speed increases which means when you really run your car on the street/track the A/F will be slightly different resulting in your peak power around the same airflow as the airflow was on the dyno.

(my two-cents)

Oh, I pull like .99 g on launch and then .6g's 2nd, .4g's 3rd.... I get max g's in the lower gears. I have not done a 0-400m run. It looks like 12.9 sec on my graph. Maybe 12.91 when zoomed in. Hope this helps you in some way. (EDIT* LOL, 12.091 It's in the top box.)

RS weight dry on cert scale

The Gtech has been fun and helped with launches to determine the best rpm for slip or dump. My 2004 RS with the spare/jack/carpet in the trunk removed, empty washer fluid and only 3 gallons of gas,no driver= 3066 lbs. I found out 0-60 can be measured with or with out role out, which are not stated in different references.
My best 60 ft = 2.39, if any Gtech owners have 60ft or 1/8mile please post.

Thanks

It just plugs into the cig lighter, just like a radar detector. It does everything else.

For more info... It uses micro pulses in the 12V to detect the RMPs of your engine. Yes, EVOs run "R" plugs like bpR7es and the R denoted resistor which masks the ignition firing pulses on the 12V system. But the G-Tech is sensitive enough to pick them back up. Once you learn the pulses in you car thru the gtech it is damn well on the money. This is done in the initial config.

From out of the box to fully functional it takes about 30 minutes. I f you have never touched one before. If you know what your doing you can set one up in less than 5 minutes. They are awesome tuning tools if you don't have a dyno around or just for kicks.

I'd be interested to see one of these used in a highly modded car.

Most car mags and some shops use them for street comparo's. These things are super trick. Try and find someone in your area that has one and check it out.
