Figures range from 13 to 14 seconds depending on the magazine and the driver they used.
The STi got a low as 13.1 also in some magazines. Consider the average driver skills. At best the average driver is going to be 13.5 area. This also considering most people do not want to launch at 6000 rpm.

That's the base price...with options, they are close to $40K...still a good deal if you wanna go really fast in a straight line...get a used one and throw in a chip and pulley...easy 11s...

Says the mazda speed is competitor , Im wondering how close to the clamed 256 hp it will be putting out. whp should be interesting to see. the srt4 says 240 hp and usally puts 215-225 to the wheels. The mazda will be a 2.3 also, will be nice to see some 1/4mile times and traps.

I don't think it'll be a competition.

just look at trap speeds. they are a more consistant estimation of how a car performs. The EVO traps 105-106 from a few magazines while the STi looks to be around 104.
